Registration for New Families and Transfers

- REGISTRATION FOR NEW FAMILIES AND TRANSFERS
  
  We look forward to welcoming your child/ren to our Religious Education Program!
  
  All new families must be registered parishioners of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church before they can register for our Religious Education Program. Please follow the instructions below (steps 1 thru 3) on how to register your child(ren) for religious education.
  
  As you prepare for registration, please note the following documents will be required to upload into the system for
  all new and transfer students (as applicable):
  
  ● Baptism Certificate
  ● Transcript from previous religious education program(s)
  ● Certificate for any other sacraments received (such as First Reconciliation, and
  Holy Communion)
  
  HOW TO REGISTER FOR the 2023-2024 Religious Education Program year
  
  STEP ONE:
  Complete the following “New Family Registration Form” (this is our parish registration form):
  NEW PARISHIONER REGISTRATION FORM .
  You may drop off the form at the Parish office, or, attach to an email to "[email protected]" attention Marie.
  
  STEP TWO:
  Once you receive your Family ID (which is also your parish envelope number), you may begin the online registration process with Parish Giving (PG) via the following link:

  If you are experiencing any issues with the registration process, please contact Parish Giving directly at 866-307-7140.
  
  Create your "Family Record" in Parish Giving by completing all required fields. Once you've entered the information, the Religious Education Office will receive an autogenerated email from Parish Giving advising a new family has begun the registration process. The registration form is then in "pending" status.   The office will review the family record in PG, and will approve/decline the registration. Please be sure to complete the medical/health information section
  
  STEP THREE:
  Upon Religious Education Office approval, you will receive an email from PG to continue with the registration process. You will be able to select a specific session for your child(ren) and pay tuition. This would complete the registration process; your child(ren) is enrolled in the Religious Education Program at Holy Rosary.

  To help you plan, below is a list of the sessions that will be offered for the upcoming year.
  
  In-Person Weekly Religious Education Program Sessions*
  
  Sunday Session (10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.): Grades 1 thru 5
  Wednesday Session I (4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.): Grades 1 thru 8
  Wednesday Session II (6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.): Grades 6 thru 8
  Thursday Session (4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.): Grades 1 thru 8
  Thursday Session II (6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.): Grade 8
  *Any session that has two or less registrants will be subject to cancellation and reassignment to another session.
  
  Family-Based Model
  
  Offered for Grades 3, 4, 5, 6
  
  Family-Based religious education takes place under the authority of the pastor through the direction of the parish religious education coordinator. The faith is taught in the home by the parent/guardian, who is commissioned by the pastor to be the catechist for his/her own children. Holy Rosary Family-Based students will also be assigned to a program catechist as additional support.
  
  Students registered for the Family-Based Model are required to attend five in-person instructional sessions with their catechist, and parents/guardians will meet at the beginning of program year for an informational session.
  **Dates for in-person instructional sessions and the parent meeting are to-be-determined.
  
  In-Person Student Instructional Sessions for Family Online-Based Students: The child meets with a parish catechist at the school building five times during the program year to review and strengthen what has been taught at home. In addition, these sessions will give students the opportunity to deepen their learning and answer any questions they may have. The following are the dates for in-person instruction - please mark your calendars:
  
  October 26, 2023:    6:30 - 7:30 pm
  
  December 21, 2023: 6:30 - 7:30 pm
  
  February 29, 2024:    6:30 - 7:30 pm
  
  April 25, 2024:    6:30 - 7:30 pm
  
  Curriculum: The Religious Education office will provide each family a “Grade Specific Overview” as outlined by the Archdiocese of New York, a syllabus to follow that mirrors our in-person sessions, Finding God workbook (2021 edition from Loyola Press), assignment documents, supplemental materials and activities.
